Best (anti)conference I have ever attended

October 14th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Organized in Athens by WPP, one of the largest advertising groups worldwide (Ogilvy, Grey, JWT, Y&R, Group M, and many others), Stream 2007 was organized as an unconference for 200 invitees from all around the world.

Top-down is out. Participation is everything: improvisation, inspiration, innovation, inter-action. No formal agenda. Think open source. Now think of an open source camp. That means YOU decide what happens, where and when. And if people want to join you, that’s the basic and only criteria that makes a Stream group activity.

It was just REALLY like that: I played in a rock-band, sang in a choir and had my workshop on Eastern Europe on the beach (”Everything I know I learned from Socialism”). Pics below. And met truly amazing, talented, powerful, creative and passionate individuals from all over the world.
